Manny & Barbara Mill
Since 1991, Manny and Barbara Mill have joyfully served the Lord through Koinonia House® Ministries (KHM).
Koinonia House Ministries exists to bring the hope of Jesus Christ to a hidden and hurting population—the incarcerated and their loved ones. Through weekly Radical Time Out™ gatherings, multi-day Prayer Conferences, the Meet Me at the Gate® reentry initiative, and ongoing ministry at Cook County Jail, KHM walks alongside men and women in crisis, pointing them to the transforming power of the gospel. The ministry also supports corrections officials and families impacted by incarceration, offering spiritual guidance, community and practical support.
Where We Serve: 3 Key Facts
Jails vs. Prisons: Jails are locally run facilities for those awaiting trial or sentencing; prisons are state or federal operated for those sentenced to serve time.
The Illinois Landscape: Illinois has one of the highest incarceration rates in the U.S. and maintains 27 adult prisons statewide. Nearly 4 in 10 Illinois residents are affected by incarcerated.
Our Team: The mission of KHM is mobilized by a dedicated team of volunteers, three full-time staff, and two part-time staff—each committed to rebuilding lives through Christ.
